Feeling slightly jaded after the No 7 event last night, which was fantastic, even if I say so myself. My thanks to Nexeus for the great music, and taking the mick out of me most of the night, and to everyone who came along, to both parts of the party.
Ah yes, it wouldn’t be Second Life without a region restart crashing into an event!
We had a great crowd, and everyone was very generous with their Lindens to support Breast Cancer Care. I am still adding all the donations up but will post on the total as soon as we get there. But as always, it’s the generosity of spirit as well as money that makes my experiences of SL so positive, and what drives me mad about the mainly negative press it received for months. Thanks to Nexeus too, who played extra time to make up for the restart, which he didn’t have to, but did anyway, and I thank you for that, Nexeus!
I’d also like to thank all the team at Rivers Run Red for all the work they did into creating a great environment, and leading by example in the dancing. Particularly Jolanda, there till the bitter end!
In the meantime, a podcast of one hour of the event is available either through the No 7 store on Avalon, or on Nexeus’ website. And until I get some photos onto the blog, you can check out the serious dancing that was going on on Flickr.
